Rhubarb sauce #2

Put the rhubarb in a 1 litre oven proof dish.

Drizzle with orange juice.

Combine the sugar, corn starch, cinnamon and salt (reduce the amount of sugar if you use sweetened fruits).

Add this mixture to the rhubarb.

Mix well.

Cover and cook at 190°C (375°F) for 45 minutes.

Add the strawberries.

Cover again and put in the oven for 15 more minutes.

Serve warm.

Yield: 1 litre of sauce.


160 ml of sugar

500 ml of strawberries

7 ml of cinnamon powder

22 ml of corn starch

60 ml of orange juice or water

1 L of rhubarb, diced

a pinch of salt
